Office 365 Education
The school year officially ends June 19 for students in kindergarten through grade Auburn School District seniors will graduate this Saturday. Though this year's graduation ceremonies are not what we had planned, our high schools worked hard to prepare a memorable and fun celebration for each high school.

I have updates for you on a few topics.
Last week was the first week of new learning during the school closure. Students and teachers should be connecting regularly from now through June I want to update you on two other topics we have been working on. With the announcement of the school closure through the end of the school year, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction OSPI provided updated guidance to school districts regarding special education services.
We will make the transition from enrichment to new learning starting the week of Monday, April With school buildings closed for the remainder of the year, we are moving forward with providing continuous learning for our students. On April 20, we will transition our focus from enrichment to new learning based on key standards. Governor Inslee announced school buildings will be closed for the remainder of the school year.
We are committed to providing nutritious meals to as many children as possible during the statewide school closure. Even during spring break, the ASD will be providing meals at all of the same locations as last week. I want to reach out and give you an update specifically for high school seniors. We are still awaiting final guidance from the state and don't have anything solid yet. However, I can assure you we are working to ensure no eligible senior loses the opportunity to graduate.
Thank you for all you are doing to help keep our community safe and your student engaged in learning. This pandemic is a challenge for all of us and we will get through it together.
School staff will be taking the week off to connect with their own families and take a deep breath. Students should not expect communication with teachers April I hope your family is doing well during this unprecedented time.
